Obamacare was leading up to this all along. It was designed to crash and usher in the era of single payer. There was no way they could throw that frog into the already boiling pot.

Thankfully, Americans are very tax averse. Half don't even pay income taxes. They are going to be quite peeved when they find out it won't be the rich funding the thing - it will be the middle class, as it is elsewhere in the world.
