It's easy to sit here and say they shouldn't have shot him.
When he opened the door, they had to shoot him. However, he should not have been allowed to get that far.

Tased or even tackled him would've drawn the exact same outrage because that is where we are as a country at this point and time. And that is an undeniable fact.
I don't give a damn about the outrage.

We also jump to conclusion so freaking quickly and we do not know the whole story.
I agree.

It certainly doesn't help. If you want to fight an arrest, do it in court, not on the street.

He had narrowed his choices down to Harvard, Yale, and barber college.

It really is astounding that something like this just keeps happening all things considered, and then in a battle ground state

So you're not going to answer the question.

YES!
i suppose your answer is to give them one of these!

The history of EVERY guy that's been shot is googled and posted well before that of the cops.
Why does every guy that’s been shot have a history? See a pattern?

3 cops had him the ground, he should not have been allowed to get up without being handcuffed. That would have eliminated him from getting to the door. When he opened the door, they had to shoot him.
Have you ever tried to hold down a grown man?
We had a guy that used to work for us and he was about 5'5" 165 and it took 4 grown men to hold him in a chair long enough to shrinkwrap him to it.
The unwilling tend to put up a fight, this isn't a movie and they have to worry about not violating his rights while cuffing him.
But none of it's the perps fault.

Excuses
If 3 of them can't do it, get another job.

Were the 4 men trained to do that? The cops were trained to do this. Stop making excuses for trained professionals.

BS.
He was at fault and opening the door was the sole reason he was shot.
The cops can be held accountable for allowing him to get that far.

Cops and perps make bad decisions in the heat of the moment.

Cool
What's the punishment for letting a perp slip away from you because it has to be less than manslaughter?
Some shite on your permanent record? DEAL! Now everyone go home.

I don't know what the punishment should be for that. When he opened the door, they had a legitimate reason to fear for their lives. At that point that shooting was justified.

A bad mark on their permanent record is not punishment for a cop. All 3 of them were scared as hell the moment he got up. they should not be cops. Fear leads to bad decisions.

I'm starting to be convinced that these people are actually demonically possessed. They know they'll be shot if they don't comply but do it anyway. Defies all reason.

Why does a certain group of fine, upstanding citizens have the innate inability to follow directions from the police?
I don’t care if you’re black. I don’t care if you’re poor. I do care if you’re a criminal, and I applaud the police for putting some bullets in this piece of shite that refuses to follow orders.

Can you name an instance in which an unarmed guy with no criminal background, who obeyed the officers lawful commands, didn't resist arrest, was killed?
Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old African-American emergency medical technician, was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove on March 13, 2020. Three plainclothes LMPD officers executing a no-knock search warrant issued for a different apartment looking for a perp who did not live at her address and was already in police custody at the time of the raid entered her apartment in Louisville, Kentucky and commenced to spraying Breonna with bullets as she lay in her bed, killing her and perforating the adjacent apartments through the walls narrowly missing her neighbors in the process.
Don't worry though, the three police officers look to be exonerated in what the local police union is defending as a justifiable shooting...
Edited to add:
To be fair, she was not a guy, and she was never given the opportunity to follow orders before she was shot to death.

Daniel shaver was shot while on his hands and knees begging for his life. But that doesn't fit your narrative does it.

You got me there, sport. I didn't know I had a narrative, but now that you have established in your mind what my narrative is, how about you let me in on what you have determined it to be so that we both can play your game.

Your game is about color.
That will be a fun game to play.

What are your qualifications for being able to determine how LEOs should do their jobs? Current or former LEO yourself? Any LE training? Play GTA on the Xbox in your momma's house?
I think any person shouldn't be able to criticize the actions of LEOs unless they do at least one ride along with a LEO. Many police departments have ride along programs that allow civilians to accompany police on their patrols and see what their job is really all about (or at least they did pre-COVID). Of course, most of thee programs require that the civilian must have a clean criminal record to participate, so I guess that disqualifies 90% of the bitchers. For the other 10%, what do you have to lose?: its entertaining, you might learn something and, if nothing else, you could spend the time telling the police officers how they should be doing their jobs.
