He just wants to be a HC in the Mid West. ND offers that just as much as LSU and he doesn't even have to move his kids. Get over it.

Solid logic. I guess you believe ND is more talented and has a higher ceiling than LSU.

So Freeman went from being a great coach that LSU really wanted to a terrible coach just because he did not select LSU?

He has an easier path getting into the playoffs with Notre Dame and will make more moving forward being at ND.

Notre Dame is a solid program. However, they have proven 7 times in recent history on the field, that they are in the minor league’s compared to the top programs.

LSU missed on Freeman, it happens. Now, find the next guy that has more than one offer and see if you can grab him. Don’t find the girl standing in the corner that no one is asking to dance ...

I think at this point they are better than LSU. It isn’t 2019 anymore.

Winning Championships as a DC may not be Freeman’s goal. He wants to be a head coach and Notre Dame gives him that opportunity. Look at the exposure he will get at Notre Dame. Add that to playing a softer schedule and wham the head coaching offers may start rolling in after this next season. Could he have done that at LSU? Probably so but Notre Dame was the smarter choice. Now let’s just hope we meet them in the playoffs and light up ND’s Defense with 700 yards total offense and hold them to under 200 yards while out scoring them 77-10.

Agree but NBC will keep putting them on TV taking up valuable football viewing space.

Why do you guys hold on to stuff? He left, that’s his choice, time to move on.

Hey, if Ryan Day turned him down (2) years ago as DC at his alma mater, why do you think he would be so great here.

you’re describing Orgeron a few years ago.

And right now too, to be honest.

Neverrains.. I actually like you guys the most out of all the SEC teams as you are less obnoxious as fans as Bama and the rest.. I was just responding to this nonsense as if there is a huge gap between LSU and ND.

ND has played LSU 4 times since 98' and we are 3-1
This decade ND is 2-0 against LSU..

If you look at last 10 year record ND and LSU are almost even yes you had a championship during that time and we did not.. We are putting ourselves in a position to compete for one pretty consistently just like Oklahoma..just not getting there yet.. One of these years lady luck might smile and we pull through just like LSU did last year.. There is not a huge gap between LSU and ND..

It not about winning championships with Marcus freeman and notre dame, it is all about family. He is close to family up there where they never win championships
