He had the most impressive wins of any LSU qb last season as a freshman. I don’t understand why there are some posters on here trying to downplay how he performed.

Kid is really cool under pressure. This shows his smarts and knowledge beyond his years. Hard to think he doesn’t play a lot next year.

Dude Flordia beat them selves throwing a shoe ok . Max does have wheels, pocket presence but he is not the second coming of Joe Borrow .

Never said he was and no one is. But the two attributes that you described for him are already better than Brennan at 18 years old. Brennan has a better arm but also has happy feet and a soft body. He’s reached his potential and that potential is putting up great stats and losing 2/3 games against bottom feeder SEC teams. Ride with the young gun

Brennan wasn’t the problem last year bro.

Not accurate to attribute those early losses in the season to Brennan. That was defense and coaching.

shite I’m just glad we have multiple QBs (With experience) that seem like all could be good options heading into a season. Can’t recall that ever being the case.

Judging by what we saw of him as a True Freshman, I'd say he definitely may be the Second Coming of Joe Burrow.

It will be interesting to see how he progresses under Peetz. (Brennan and Nussmeier as well)

The biggest difference in Myles Brennan and Max Johnson is Max's ability to pick up 1st downs with his feet. He's not looking to do that every snap which is good but he has the ability to do it.

Myles Brennan has cinder blocks for feet. It's unreal. I think it's still Myles Brennan's job to lose but Max Johnson gives the offense a different dynamic.

Brennan can run just fine when needed. Major misconception of his game.

That’s not true at all. We took the read option out of the playbook when Myles was QB because he was zero threat of keeping the ball.

To be honest TJ Finley has more potential and will be a better pro . Wait until his body and maturity evens out the position is wide open let’s see what happens .

Rushing yards: Johnson 119, Brennan -36.

And not to hate on the kid but his season ending after one big hit doesn’t make me confident he can take much more.

Brennan lost to moo state and mizzou with opportunities to win. Does he have the closing ability in him? I haven’t seen it yet.

Max on the other hand shows that he is a winner. Myles makes it look uncomfortable / not authentic. He might not be a winner within.
