In Texas you absolutely have choice of electrical providers. I think I had a dozen or so choices between various plans and providers.

The LNG market is going apeshit right now, and prices are skyrocketing. This was before the big freeze, but right after numbnuts Joe's anti-energy policies. If you're in Louisiana or Texas, you will feel the pain in the next month or 2. Get ready.

I never lost a totals day worth of power, but the statement remains. They said they are not raising rates. This is my provider. Can't speak for everyone else.

I still remember the short sales & foreclosures under Obama. On top of $300 to $900 electric bills in homes. $300 was average for a small place.

I tried to go to reliant.com to check my bill status, but it was like the link was totally bogus. Wouldn't even try to take me to the website.
I talked to a Reliant CSR 2 days ago, and he told me that I didn't have anything to worry about as long as I have a contract rate. He said Reliant would honor that rate.

I know I am going to get lumped in with "ohh conspiracy", but I find the timing of all this to be very coincidental when Texas is pushing back hard against the Fed.
