Paul Mainieri said he's "taking a good hard look at second base" as LSU tries to improve defensively. Sophomore Collier Cranford could get a start there soon.
He's hitting 0.299 with 4 HRs and 12 RBIs. Cranford is 1-6 on the year.

Because he can’t throw to first. Serious case of the YIPS over there much like Rube Baker or Jose Altuve late last season

I don't get the Arnold hate either. Kid must really suck in practice.
Doughty has been the biggest in-field liability but obviously you're not taking him out of the lineup. Arnold seemed to have a little trouble adjusting to throws from second when he first switched but that seems to have improved.

So you're saying we should play Arnold because he can hit even though we have better defensive players on the bench?

To be fair, a lot of times it seems like when Zach does something well, he follows it with a WTF moment or WTF game
example: He committed an error in extra innings that allowed 2 runs to score last weekend, or leads the team in errors (if you take out Hellmers opening weekend at 3rd base), or he leads the team in strikeouts

I think everyone understands the issue here isn’t the offensive side of the ball, even you.

Lets just put Travinski at 2B and play softball.

This is so he can find a spot to put Bianco.

Not a large enough sample size

It's interesting how tRant only cares about hitting, not so much about fielding.

Maybe Arnold stops lobbing the ball to the dugout

He always finds a good player to hate on and a bad one to love

I wish he and his boy Dunn would figure out the relief pitchers!

Really concerned that the defense may get exposed once conference play starts. I’ve thought all along that Cranford is the best defensively of them all. But he also needs to hit in the 275 range. Arnold is starting to struggle as a whole. Also people will start pitching Thompson away and he will struggle. I don’t think you see a change for Friday but I could see it coming

Maybe arnold showed up to practice with a bar stamp on his hand?

Remember when our starting middle infield was two future MLB players. One was a freshman came in defensively and took over for the future NL batting title who will probably be a HOFer.
