We can all nitpick stats here and there for a guy. Which is why threads like this are stupid.

Hell, I can remember about 4 throws just from the Clemson game that were check downs to his last read in Trey Sermon.

Yes, let's believe NFL personnel on this. I'm sure they have no motive. Especially just days after there was leaks questioning his work ethic, when just about everyone with actually ties to the program have said the polar opposite.

Curious what your honest opinion of Fields is. You likely have watched him more than anyone else in this thread.

I’m a bit thrown off by the back and forth about him in the media. First it was he doesn’t make full field reads, but now that is apparently a myth. I went back and watched his Clemson highlights, and he obviously made multiple incredible throws. It was several deep shots to receivers with really good separation, which isn’t the most translatable thing to the NFL. It does show he throws a great deep ball which is obviously a plus though. I thought his best throw of that game by far was the TD he threw to the tight end right before halftime I believe, it was up the seam and he threaded the needle between 2 defenders. It was his primary read but definitely an NFL wow throw.

I don’t really know what to make of him with the primary read stuff. I will say sometimes it seems he holds the ball a bit long, and maybe doesn’t play with the same sense of urgency in the pocket that he’ll need to at the next level. Just my thoughts.

Not going to argue with you on this point but Fields has always been a one pump chump in the pocket. It's apparent to any non-OSU fan that has watched him play. That is something that cannot be fixed in the NFL.

So his last read of 2 reads? Primary not open? Check down to Sermon!
