I was going to use a case like this on a flight to MN some months back, but the meeting I was going to was cancelled so I stayed home. My plan was to lock the case to the internal frame of my checked luggage. Do not pack ammo in the same container as the gun. Read and re-read (then read again) the rules of both the airline you're travelling on as well as TSA. Leave plenty of time in your schedule. Do not use TSA locks. Carry a copy of the rules w/ you. Be prepared to be very courteous to an airline agent who knows little, if any about guns, and may not know the rules as well as you. When you get to the ticket counter, don't yell, "I've got a gun to check!" You should be fine. Good luck w/ your trip.
