It’s funny when people say shite like this because the only people getting killed in BR are thugs killing thugs and the occasional domestic dispute.

Ascension is on its way to being BR. Started in Gonzales, now moving to Sorrento, St. Amant, Dutchtown, and Galvez. I give it another 10 years and it’s gonna be just as bad as BR.

I have lived in Ascension Parish for over fifty years. Based upon my observations in recent times, I agree with you, within ten years we will be just as bad as Baton Rouge. I am looking to get out eventually, only a sap would move in and thunk that they could avoid the inevitable.

Listening to Baton Rouge people defend their city is sad. The rest of American views you as the US equivalent of Rhodesia

There a more AP residents on TD than people think.

Some of us are aware of the issues with the council / drainage / infrastructure, some are not.

My suggestion is to post the specific shite council members are doing so constituents can call them out on it.

Im starting to see recall Casso signs btw on hwy 42. Im expecting to see more soon....

network of canals and drainage infrastructure isn't inadequate. But they are definitely clogged with vegetation, debris, and sediment.

This isn't the problem. Ascension doesn't have a drainage problem. We have a water retention problem.

Too much of the natural watershed and low lying areas have been filled in to make high density subdivisions. This leaves no where for rain water to collect until it can run off naturally. There is a reason the land was previously used as a cow pasture, it was the lowest in the area. Any rain that falls on these areas is not allowed to sit there and is immediately drained/pushed away.

yet the folks there seem to have major flooding issues with just 1" of rainfall.

The last 2 issues with flooding in the past 30-60 days was from 13 inches of rain in a few hours and 9 inches in 2 hours FYI

But yea , they crooked council is about as bad as it gets. I’ve only been in ascension for 2 years, still trying to wrap my head around who the dirtbags are

I don't think so...the soft and scared may be very proficient in pointing and firing a device that can end the thug's life in a split second! Just saying....

You don't have to do much research on that! The dirt-bags are the 6 village idiot who voted to remove the Parish President from the drainage system. And they give a cherry job to a man who couldn't get it right when he was on the job before. Who do you think he'll be beholding to?
Casso, Lawler, Orangutan or Orgeron, Dempsy Lambert, Cagnolotti and Waguespack need to GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ascension Parish will charge them and prosecute them. Unlike New Orleans.

This is the biggest joke of them all. Falling asleep during a zoom meeting, still pouting Clint beat him out, and acts like a bitch most of the time.

A Better Ascension. They made a push for a “parish manager” or CEO instead of an elected parish president. The CEO would be appointed by the council. So they can keep a “yes man” in the position. Casso, Lawler, Orgeron, and the rest their village idiots were huge proponents of this.

I grew up in Dutchtown when you’d only see 6 cars, a couple horses and maybe a dog pass down Hwy 73 all day. The only thing left there for me is family and friends. Miss them but frick that place, don’t like going there any less than BR now

The memes are great. If you know what’s going on, it is hilarious. I am skeptical of the success of any recall effort but a few of these recall groups have some fire power behind them. They are all forming PAC’s and by all means seem to be committed to filing a recall. The recall Casso page is suggesting that she has already started removing recall signs from people’s homes in her district. This will get interesting quick.

You old enough to remember Boxcar Braud and Gilber Burratt actually getting into a fight during a "policy jury" meeting back in the 80's?

I think it was Braud and Burratt, ol Needlenose Vicknair may have been in on it also.
