A Better Ascension. They made a push for a “parish manager” or CEO instead of an elected parish president. The CEO would be appointed by the council. So they can keep a “yes man” in the position. Casso, Lawler, Orgeron, and the rest their village idiots were huge proponents of this.

You obviously don't know how the form of government works outside of not voting for parish president anymore and many people in AP have gone to another state such as Florida, Georgia or Texas and wondered why can't AP be more like this (well planned, well built and well kept) while not knowing their county is run by a Council-Manager form of government.
Our popularity contest is what has things in the condition they are in and will keep us rolling with the status quo of political families having their "yes man" with zero qualifications to run an enterprise with over 120 million dollar budget voted in behind big money with kick back contracts and asset purchases. We have yet to have a qualified person with the reigns since the charter was adopted and it shows.
