The manufacturers often give your insurance further discounts for agreeing to carry such expensive drugs in their formulary. If you are looking at the average wholesale price printed on the pharmacy’s labeling, it’s marked up a good bit over what your insurance actually paid. Don’t suddenly stop taking it.

ETA Ridiculously high drug prices do burden Americans most. We definitely need to address this problem.

Just know who runs this country. Medical costs are ridiculously high for anything. Overnight hospital stay for "observation"? $15,000.
