Except they did shut down schools, businesses, etc 3 generations (maybe 4, not sure how you want to count it) ago for Spanish Flu.

Soooo... You're wrong?

Show me where they shutdown the economy like for Covid. Not to mention most of the Covid death stats were people who would have been dead in 6 months anyway. No offense if any of you lost a loved one but the numbers were horribly inflated.

Would’ve gotten their damn vaccines and this Covid shite would be done. But thanks to the politicization of the virus everybody is going to their corners and the Internet amplifies the bullshite factor…shite like that didn’t happen 2 to 3 generations ago. 2 to 3 generations ago we got rid of polio but that shite hasnt happened today because of the dumb asses that pay attention to bullshite on the Internet and spewed by political hacks.

The political climate in this state is reflective of the population. The state has lost residents every single year JBE has been in office yet he got re-elected and some people will continue to defend him. What can be a more powerful vote than picking up your family and voting with your feet?

Huh? 97% of people in LA hospitals is unvaxxed

Just out of curiosity, how do we know?

I mean, the Department of Health and Hospitals hasn’t exactly been transparent. There have been numerous instances where their numbers were...”questionable.”

I mean, do they have access to a Covid vaccination database? It is a sincere question.

To be fair, I know about a half dozen people that have currently been diagnosed with Covid and none of them had the vaccine.

On another note, the family members that live with them have either been vaccinated, or have had Covid previously. Only one has been sick (vaccine). It is anecdotal, but it seems to support that the antibodies (from the vaccine or a prior bout with Covid) handle this variant quite well.

As such, it is reasonable to assume those that are hospitalized are unvaccinated, but again...
how do we know.

I’ve had Covid so I have the antibodies. As such, I’ll take my chances with what Mother Nature gave me and you can..

And yet we don’t count in the percentage needed for herd immunity.

I donated blood and have the paper saying I have Covid antibodies but Karens don't care about that. It seems we have a lot of male Karen hipsters on here too.

This is true, but sometimes the knuckleheads have a point. I get their distrust of a vaccine that was rushed to market using novel technology. And I respect their F-U attitude in the face of media pressure telling them to ignore their doubts and do what they are told. I’m not saying they are right, but I get it. A healthy mistrust of authority is a good thing. In some ways, it’s a uniquely American thing, and an essential part of what makes our country great.

You better get used to everything being politicized. There is a political divide in our country and the news media has chosen sides. It is all one-sided and anyone with a brain, regardless of their political belief, should be skeptical about what is passed off as news these days. If it wasn't so serious, it would be funny listening to the talking heads complain about the virus being politicized when it is a byproduct of their own bias.

You mean the ones who got vaccinated for mumps, measles, and rubella without questioning it? Or the polio virus which even at its worst killed about the same number per year as Covid has. Those generations? The ones that were not knuckle dragging conspiracy nuts and actually followed the science instead of spewing whatever new conspiracy fricker Carlson is spouting or whatever nonsense they shite out on OAN?

That’s a load of shite if I’ve ever read it. Since it’s gained it’s vocal stance online the anti-vaxx crowd has been comprised mostly of far left leaning loons with this “holistic” approach to everything.
