Why not disconnect the power source in the attic? It should have a little transformer plugged into a 110 outlet to power it just like a doorbell.

Once the power has been disconnected, you can rip all the cabling out altogether. I wouldn’t want “dead” wires running all over my attic personally, but that’s just me.

Yes, can I just disconnect at the transformer, rip out the wiring, and leave the transformer as is in the attic with no purpose? How does the transformer tie into the rest of the home’s wiring, typically….is this just the attic’s power running to the breaker box?

I know very little about electrical so apologies for the basic questions.

It also has an AM/FM radio so I guess I’ll need to pull the the antenna wiring from the walls as well.
