Yes, can I just disconnect at the transformer, rip out the wiring, and leave the transformer as is in the attic with no purpose? How does the transformer tie into the rest of the home’s wiring, typically….is this just the attic’s power running to the breaker box?
I know very little about electrical so apologies for the basic questions.
It also has an AM/FM radio so I guess I’ll need to pull the the antenna wiring from the walls as well.

Just a guess, but I would imagine your intercom power transformer is fed from the same circuit as your central ac/heat unit. If the transformer location is known trace the power wire back to a junction box and disconnect it there. (safety disclaimer - disconnect power first and wait until November to do this, unless you love to sweat)
You can leave the antenna wiring as well as the low voltage wiring in the walls/attic.
