Ok so I get it, you're defending Orgerons contract and his right to get paid if he's fired. You've been doing it all day in post upon post. Let me ask you a couple simple questions:
In your opinion is Orgeron
- doing a good job?
- representing the school well?
- hired the right assistants?
- conducting himself with class?
What say you?

You're just making shite up.
you dont know that whatsoever.
But yes, Canada agreed to ~50% buyout regardless of what his CONTRACT said.
LINK
so what's the difference in these two scenarios exactly?

There is no reason that we know of for Ed go negotiate anything. Canada was insubordination, which was not a real surprise to anyone. Its very possible parties could have duked it out in court. Canada was more or less documented, go see the interviews.
Ed is owed 70% of the remaining contract on day one from what I can tell, pre-judgment interest will start the next day on roughly $20m.
What exactly is Ed doing wrong again? Besides losing?
If Ed goes into the Dean's office and starts assaulting people, maybe you have something, but right now this all looks like buyer's remorse from the fans.

2019 - spectacular
2020 - meh
2021 - looking like a train wreck in the making
- representing the school well?
at times, not consistently
- hired the right assistants?
*bangs head* 75% of the time no
- conducting himself with class?
this is what's going to take him down...the stories about threatening to fight people, too much of his personal life is aired publicly

is that the whole premise of this entire conversation about O?
i mean, even the subject line of THIS THREAD is referencing the admin being sick of O's bullshite/investigations.
Nobody thinks O is squeaky clean....surely

When they fire him he will absolutely negotiate if he doesn't want to leave 75% of his remaining money behind.

It is. Derek's alter doesn't want people talking about Orgeron getting fired for cause, when it's going to happen regardless.

There really isn't an argument, money is owed. Options are all based on the money owed.
If LSU wins, nobody is crying about all this, and making up stuff.

Isn’t that the subject of the Thread? How he’s a PR nightmare and embarrassing the university..Investigations and potential evidence to remove with cause?

That’s a pretty Fkn important part of keeping the job, no?

No there really isn't an argument. Everything you've posted has been factually ripped to shreds.

Regarding Coach O and purported antics at Port Fourchon: The operative word here is "apparently" he aggressively.....blah, blah, blah..could be bullshite ---maybe not..... now this story is off and running and no one can verify and never will.....The Rant is a gossip rag.

So, they are going to removing someone that knew what the school was doing and condoning? That sounds like LSU policy, and of course, you don't wait till the loses happen to take action.
What exactly was Ed doing? Sounds like it was the school ignoring things, why exactly are they taking three years to bring this all up.
If LSU won, none of this stuff would be even talked about... just like Wade.

There's a video of the incident.... it's circulated
Sorry you don't have any friends that could forward it to you

Surely someone could post it here

alright, i'm going to break it down slowly.
the whole point of the thread is that O is a jackass who is trying to fight random strangers IN their own camp house, and LSU has proof of that. among others stuff
IF TRUE, that is plenty to tarnish O's name. THEREFORE LSU has leverage for O to negotiate the buyout down.
NOW, maybe you believe that none of this really exists and O has no reason to give in because he is Jesus like.
BUT, to enter in this conversation about negotiated buyouts, you have to accept the premise of the original claims. Otherwise, this thread is probably not for you. Just say "bullshite" and move along.
Simple enough?

Good luck based on what is in the OP even if true.
I think it might be in the people that are upset at losing to where this is even a thing, to consider going on a vacation for a few days.
If LSU was winning, nobody would care.

Kinda the point of the on going investigation, no?
Do you know something that clears him?
quote:

Sure, but the investigation is still there.
Lose and the seat heats up…naturally.
Add: Ongoing investigation, go 5-6 and every loss is embarrassing, continue to be a PR nightmare for the University, no one turns a blind eye.
But for some reason, you think he’s clear on everything and 100% of buyout will be owed.
Why? What do you know that completely Absolves him from T9 or any other investigation of wrong doing?
