I love when old legends live on. I heard from even former basketball players that Cantrelle terrorized Broussard Hall
There’s a story that before his wedding several of the football players were going to hold him down in his room and shave him. A bunch of them cornered him and he said “You go ahead and do this but I see every one of you that is here and I will get even with each and every one of you” They let him go and left his room.

Seen this thread a number of times over the years.

Always believed Art Cantrelle was the correct answer.

LaRon Landry another good choice.

Like I get the Cantrelle talk. I do.

If all the guys in this thread are at the double deuce though, isn't Whitworth the last guy to stand up and clear the place out? Who in the frick is going to move him? Dorsey? Mawae? Is it just because he doesn't get angry?

In my opinion, the guy is a legend.

So you know Gabe part-timed as a bouncer at Murphy's. I never saw a big man like that able to put combos like that together. It was Sigma Nu vs Acacia. He took out 20 frat stars with nothing but jabs and crosses, maybe a few overhand rights. Someone tried to hockey shirt Gabe. Ripped his own shirt off so they couldn't get leverage and bunched the shirt up in his own hand like a boxing glove cushion to beat more arse. Freak athlete, even freakier street fighter. Never got tired, just steady peppering dudes from an 82 inch wingspan.

Elko was definitely a psycho , saw George Atiyeh pin him two times in the locker room . George was a heavyweight wrestling champ at Lsu and also a great nose guard .

I remember him well-- loved any excuse to start brawls at either the Tiger or the Bengal on Highland Road.
