Honest question. The current coach has effectively been fired, along with his staff. The next coach has not been hired. There is no one to lead the recruiting effort. Will O continue to recruit and sell the school and his presumptive successor, whomever that might be? Very odd situation. It seems that most highly touted recruits would defect in the face of such uncertainty.

It might be a down recruiting year but worth it in long run

This was getting toxic really fast with kids opting out

Recruits and their families will need to put their trust in Woody to find the right hire.

Apparently he is one the more involved AD’s who sticks around the program’s recruiting department to make sure it runs smoothly and the families know he is available.

Under general contract principles, he is still under contract and he needs to perform competently to avoid termination for cause which would wipe out any termination payments. Loyalty, competency, good conduct, etc.

A lot of guys want to come to Baton Rouge. They'll know who the new coach is before early signing day.
