The majority of the crime you’re referring to is taking place in “The Bottom” more than likely one of the most dangerous ghettos in the entire U.S.

People are habitually killed, in and around Aster St, McKinley, and along Thomas Delpit Dr.

That’s north of campus. He was talking about the Tigerland trash.

Anyways the Bottom really isn’t that bad compared to some spots in the city. The worst area is between N Foster/I-110/Gus Young.

Draw your own conclusions.
Obviously you have aimed the thread squarely at "black people are violent". Why didn't you overlay homicides with a map of income/poverty levels? And then race and poverty? And then we can talk about the cycle of causation and solutions? Seems more productive than making a thread about your own racial bias.

I feel really dumb. I thought by dots you meant the markers, and was like wow a lot of Asians killed in BR.

You make a good point, and do you know what the root cause of poverty is, teen pregnancy and low education levels. A good measure of a parent's commitment to educating their children can be seen on parent's night, most schools have them in September so the parent(s) can meet the teachers. I can tell you that if you teach in a poverty area, you can hear the crickets on parent night, most poor people are poor because they don't give a shite about education. The real bad part is our entitlement society rewards them for their lack of effort.

Just suppose a 15-20 years ago when the black community embraced the rap/thug culture, the gangsta become the hero, singers became murderers to tout the "cred", that instead the had embraced education and discipline, that map would look a lot different. Suppose young Black girls got smart and started saying "NO", I will only have sex with good men who will marry me and support a family, what do you think the murder rate would be.

It's easy to shout BLM and damn the racist whites, but they don't need white people to do a damn thing, they can change their cultcha on their own, they just don't want to.

NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING white people do will ever, ever be enough.

How do you know that poverty isn't the root cause of teen pregnancy and low education? There is obviously a correlation, but how can you establish causation? Let's start by looking at the portion of school funding which comes from local sales and property taxes, whether it is divvied up equitably, and think about how that might impact the quality of education that poor students receive. What about private schools? Do you think that could create a cycle of feedback, poor kids get a poor education and rich kids get a good education?

I know everyone likes to blame entitlements and laziness, and I'm sure they play a large role, but poor people also tend to work shite jobs with shite hours, and sometimes more than one of them. More feedback.

East Baton Rouge Parish School System spends more per student than almost every private school in the parish. It is certainly not a funding issue.

Most violence occurs in black majority neighborhoods, it's undeniable.

Its not the cause of extreme violence.

Compare Appalachia to the inner city.

They call themselves "allies."

Its the most racist movement afoot. They speak for black people because black people are not capable of speaking for themselves, or purchasing a computer.

Because even poor girls can choose to not have sex. It’s a decision. Isn’t BC free for impoverished girls? Aren’t condoms free at many clinics? Teen pregnancy and low education are a choice. It’s a choice to make a poor decision because your parents never made you or instructed you to make the right one.

God I hate the term equitable as opposed to equal.

Private school actually increases the funding available for public school kids as those tax dollars aren’t spent on the private school students. So many times education achievement isn’t decided by teachers or principals but rather by parents and principles. Start there and you have a solid foundation that dramatically raises the floor.

Parent teacher nights aren’t decided days in advance but rather weeks and months. I guarantee any and all employers given 4 weeks notice that you won’t be able to work one evening shift because you have to go to parent teacher night will happily accommodate you. Despite what a lot of people think, most employers aren’t assholes.

This one is both. Initially art imitated life, but then as the artist got more wealthy and more famous, life began to imitate art.

You can't possibly realistically think that being poor causes you to get pregnant as a teenager. There is no value placed on family and education in that community. I grew up in a rural community that wasn't flush with rich kids. You know what we didn't do? Kill each other

It's a cultural issue that leftists refuse to acknowledge. We could triple the funding for EBR schools and it wouldn't change a thing.
