I’ve taken the monoclonal antibodies

That, steroids (prednisone), and steroid inhalers saved my life. The Monocolonal Antibody Infusion turned it around more than anything.

I was given Covid by a fully vaxxed person.

Normally I almost never get sick. When I do I shake it off in a day or two.

3½ weeks of extreme sickness. End of life discussions were had with the family. I feel lucky to have beaten it.

Good luck.

Monoclonal antibody therapy needs to be given as soon as possible after symptoms start to work. Ideally within 4 days and no longer than 7 days

Need to start treatment ASAP with symptom onset or positive test. Once you hit 7 days or more covid viral load is likely too high already and you are out of the window for the antibodies to really help. That's likely the reason it didn't work, unless I am figuring your timeline wrong.

Do you have a designated advocate?

No offense, but you have a BMI of 28.2
overweight = 25-29.9
Obese = >30

The largest misinformation about this virus has been the definition of "health" and having zero "pre-existing conditions" or "co-morbidities". Being overweight/obese & contracting covid should be considered a pre-existing condition/co-morbidity.

It’s still worth a try. My dad received the infusion on day 9 or 10. He wouldn’t be here today without it.

Eventually I got the monoclonal antibodies and it did nothing

Not surprising...from what I understand you have to get the MCAB infusion quickly after the onset of symptoms or even before symptoms if you know you were exposed.

Seems to me like you had had symptoms for nearly a week when you got it.

How's your oxygen level doing??

Low 90s.

Are they letting you up and out of bed even just in your room?

I can get up as much as I want. Can’t leave the room.

Are you drinking a lot of liquids?

I drink tons of water but couldn’t when I was home. Since then, I’ve been able to drink water and other liquids.

quote:

Are you coughing? If so, are they encouraging you to lay on your belly??

This is the worst part. So I coughed so much that I basically blew out my a-hole. Like my hemorrhoids exploded. So I am bleeding from my arse. They want to do surgery and I told them They need to concentrate on the most pressing issue, then we can worry about my kraken looking a-hole. I am taking medication to reduce the coughing but not laying on my belly. I am sitting up as to not put pressure on my Lungs.

Dude, please TELL THEM you want your kidney function monitored on the remdesiver.

Definitely being monitored. I do bloodwork every 3 months anyway and because I am such a gym nut, my kidneys get beat up due to inflammation. They are being monitored every day, along with liver function.

Thanks for looking out, homie.

it just seems to affect everyone differently. have a relatively healthy buddy from work who is late 40s. and he was in the hospital twice and he told me several times that he either wanted to die or thought he was going to die. he's the only person I've known that had a severe case. known several other folks that barely knew they had it. all that were probably less healthy and/or older.

Is there an age limit to receive the Monoclonal antibody therapy? In other words can a person in their 30's receive it?
Idk why but I thought only people OVER a certain age could receive it unless the person has other health issues outside of covid.
