I remember seeing one back in 2002 ish in Slidell.
Left a tail prettyuch straight across the night sky at like 3am.
The boom was like 2 minutes delayed and about made me shite myself.
If it's clear outside, go outside and watch it. It's really incredible.

Yeah I too remember the Space Shuttle doing this over BR around that time. It’s awesome.
