The next coach doesn’t have to be from Louisiana to get hired.. he just has to be aware and understand it.. Coach O was from here so he obviously knew.. but he wasn’t the long term answer.. Saban knew, but it was bad timing, Miles knew and he flourished in it for as long as he could.. all you have to do is understand it... its ok to be an outsider.. u just have to embrace it.. and the wall will still stand.. treat these kids ignorantly and you will lose them..

BR is on the same level as jackson, ms and birmingham (although i would argue that birmingham at least has some redeeming qualities). so to sum up, norman is a better place to raise a family, which is where he is in his life now. yes, you get the "louisiana culture" (which is a punchline to most of the country), but outside of that there aren't many redeeming qualities to BR
