you think Oklahoma city is better? Been to Austin lately? Gainesville? Waco? Los Angeles? every city has a good and bad neighborhood to live.. and they all know it.. that’s irrelevant right now.. even south bend has bad areas.. .
you put the coach up in a good area.. we have good areas that i would move to in a second if i could afford it.. in any city that these coaches are going to..
the difference is - Louisiana has a culture that no other has.. if u dont get it.. then u probably shouldn’t be LSU’s next coach..

The next coach doesn’t have to be from Louisiana to get hired.. he just has to be aware and understand it.. Coach O was from here so he obviously knew.. but he wasn’t the long term answer.. Saban knew, but it was bad timing, Miles knew and he flourished in it for as long as he could.. all you have to do is understand it... its ok to be an outsider.. u just have to embrace it.. and the wall will still stand.. treat these kids ignorantly and you will lose them..

he lives in norman, which is a nice suburb of okc, and minus the college part is a sleepy town with an old "main street" aesthetic

BR is on the same level as jackson, ms and birmingham (although i would argue that birmingham at least has some redeeming qualities). so to sum up, norman is a better place to raise a family, which is where he is in his life now. yes, you get the "louisiana culture" (which is a punchline to most of the country), but outside of that there aren't many redeeming qualities to BR
