This was common in North Louisiana in the 70's 80's , the dog runners were so deer crazy they didn't give a flip where they were shooting.

They used to pile up on the blacktop hwy in front of my grandparent's house while we were all out in the yard playing or whatever

There were a lot of "outlaws" back in those days.

I was taken "rabbit" hunting several times as a kid with dogs. For some reason I had buckshot in my shotgun and rabbit shot in my pocket.

I dont condone that but a bunch of rednecks and beer and this is the kinda shite that went down.

That's how I grew up. I haven't hunted with dogs in at least 25 years but, I remember the days well of hauling it to get ahead of the deer. CB's blaring and bullets flying.

Now a days I prefer the quietness of a tree stand.
