Pics first, and then move up the chain. I know first-hand that public school administration will try to stifle you at every turn.
Remember this.....MAGA was doing 6 and 7 rallies a day. Don't puss out

As a Civics teacher how detailed do you get into the election?
My Middle School class I steered away from it as much as possible. What was hard though them being SPED and SED they are swayed easily so I tried to just explain the process and refused to answer policy question. Today some kid was terrified they were losing their ARKids because the parent told him that. Kids I have are very low income also.

my wife teaches kindergarten and had to deal with a student who kept complaining that the other kids didn't believe her that trump was a "bad bad man". she had to sit the kids down and explain that we all need to come together and be nice to each other. she read them some Clifford book about an election and drove home the togetherness point and during an election people say mean things but now we need to be nice

What the hell is wrong with these (mostly crazy bitches) I keep hearing about talking presidential politics with children?

Just ask to speak to her. And then tell her that it's immature for a kindergarten teacher to go on rants about politics in class.
Do not do this. Go above her to supervisor or principal.

My 9 yr old daughter told me this morning that she overheard her teacher talking w/ another about the election. I asked her what she said. She looked at my wife who said "just tell him." She leaned in my ear and whispered that her teacher said she "was pissed Hillary isn't in jail."

I didn't suggest he meet with the teacher on his own.

how do you not get detailed. 2000 was one of my favorite years in school because in civic class we covered the election nonstop. no better way to learn in high school about american political system then going through it

So I am going straight to the principal tomorrow. I'm demanding she speak to me tomorrow
this is what you need to do. And make it clear that you would take extra steps if this isn't handled to your liking.
These people are helping build the foundation of our nations youth. No way she should be stating this.
My wife is a third grade teacher. She had students ask her today who she voted for. She told them all that that is not information they need to know (she all MAGA)But still the point is that she remained nuetral

I have had meetings with the administrators over less than that. Address it and address it immediately. My overriding concern would be what other shite is she shoveling. I would demand she be in attendance at the meeting.

Study up on the facts
Arm yourself with enough info before going to see the principal so you can out her for the fool she is.

Go to her principal, remain calm and respectful. Demand that she apologize to you and all her students and let it go. People have been lied to a messed with by a media machine. It's not her fault that she's scared and upset, it's the media. But her behaivor demands correction.

We haven't watched election coverage (mainly read) or discussed it in front of the kids. Only place he could have heard this was school.

I don't shy away at all. I use the campaign and the election to get the students excited about the civic process. I may not bring up a lot of policy in class but if a student has a question about a candidate's policy on a certain issue I will give them what I know without showing bias. We had a school wide mock election Monday and today we compared our results to the actual results from last night. It is rewarding to see the students use the information in front of them to come up with their own political stances.

You should contact your local Republican Party or the Trump campaign directly. Explain the situation and maybe they can direct you to an attorney friendly to the cause who can accompany you to see the principal. You want to open heavy.
