Depends on the distance that you are sitting from and size of the screen but in our life time we will reach that point where you can't even tell.

Idk Mann, we just to experience.
I thought going from 1080 to 1440 was overkill but it is awesome. Games look like shtt at just 1080. I have not experienced 2160 yet, so I can't comment.
From past experience, no it will not be overkill.

Then again, it isn't all about frames and resolution. Lighting, AA and ambient occulsion are some of the big differences between the 2.
