I really enjoyed these 2 Zeldas but I hope the next iteration drops the stamina and weapon breaking mechanics. Also I hope we one day get a Wind Waker and Twilight Princess remastered port

You can disable those mechanics on PC.

I wish that there was more variety to the Depths. The Lightroot mechanic was interesting, and flipping between the surface and depths maps to discover where undiscovered ones of each was cool enough, but the Depths felt very sparse in most cases. The most remarkable areas were the ones surrounding each of the Old Map treasures.

The Sky Islands felt like DLC expansion content.

Supposedly there were WAY more sky islands but quality control told the game developers they needed to get rid of a lot of them and tone it down because it was “messing up the sky from the ground”.

Frustrating because I really loved the Zonai tech and the islands there are

I never finished unlocking all the lightroots. Once I beat the game and got mostly everything I needed it just became way too tedious and no payoff because there's nothing down there. Was hoping maybe a DLC would come that would utilize it but Nintendo already said nah to anything additional.

Once the main storyline shifted to investigating the floating castle for Zelda, I distinctly recall losing interest for a few weeks, so I side-quested my arse off pursuing anything that I found interesting.

I struggled with this game. Definitely put in a lot of hours but ultimately never finished the main quest. I did the four initial dungeons but I simply lost interest after that. And that's with me acknowledging that this game is better than BotW (which I finished and played about a half of a playthrough again).

It's worth noting that from launch day (May 12) to mid-September, TOTK was quite literally the ONLY game I played.

Great game. The grind to upgrade armor was a more tedious and time consuming than it should have been, but thats my only real complaint.

Currently playing FF7 Rebirth. It’d be great if Nintendo took notes at how great a remake of a classic from the late 90’s can be on modern consoles. Give us an Ocarina of Time remake for the next Zelda game

I just want Wind Waker access on the Switch first.

At least OOT & Majora's Mask are available via Switch Online in their OG forms.
