Ultimate was in 2014, and it was pretty cool imo. Granted this was before EA realized how much money they could steal from dumbasses. And there will be an Ultimate Team again, as EA has become so greedy that a game without UT isn't worth it to them. UT will be in every sports game until lawmakers realize that it is worse than gambling, by a lot.
On the flip side I don't think they can realase the first rendition of this game without a good Dynasty mode. If they ignore Dynasties, this game is DOA. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit though

yup. imo, copy/paste the dynasty mode from '14 and spend more time on implementing the CFP and adding the transfer portal to recruiting. maybe expand the custom conferences to 20 teams max instead of 16.
this game really shouldn't be too difficult for them to make when most of the stuff the community wants is within the different menus and options. the gameplay was fine.

Tried re-downloading 14 on 360 the other day, but download speeds are so bad. Guess they don’t have any servers still up or something.

Yep. With NIL, I don't see how EA can manage this yearly. I'd be happy if they release just ONE NCAA game.

I think I'm hoping to adopt this mentality so I don't keep getting let down by EA.
The easiest path to then releasing would be releasing one game and updating the rosters on a yearly basis. That way you don't have to refigure NIL out every single year and only add new players. This won't happen cause they need a new game every year to keep Ultimate Team rolling though.
Either that or the players have to enter into a CBA or union of sorts

Not really. EA Sports likely wants to give its other titles some breathing room, too. Madden usually comes out in August. FIFA -- which is being rebranded to "EA Sports FC" starting next year -- in late September and NHL in mid-October.
Back when it was called "NCAA Football" -- no longer the name -- the game typically came out in mid-July.
Holt said they still have options and aren't tied into an exact date right now.
