The easy answer is Stardew Valley for me but what about y'all?

I was looking at Dave the Diver or Dredge as my next cozy game. For me those kind of games are best played on the switch.

Definitely Stardew Valley for me also. It's my go-to game any time I'm looking for something "light" to play. It's also out on iOS and is probably my most-played game on my iPad.

I've tried to get into My Time at Portia and although I like it, it just doesn't have quite the same level of magic for me.

On the Switch there's obviously Animal Crossing which is very good but Stardew Valley still takes the crown for me.

I've been eyeing Dave the Diver for my next venture also.

Was going to start a Stardew Valley thread today asking how many hours people have into it. I've gotta be north of 1,000.

Same here. Since I mostly play it on iPad I don't have an actual number but it's A LOT.

It's on the switch at the end of the month. There's a demo you can play and I did it this weekend. Dredge has a demo too and I liked it. I feel like Dave the Diver has more of the Stardew vibe to it but both were good demos.

not sure i have one. sit back and turn off games have never been my thing.

if im not engaged in some story or challenge im usually not interested.

curious what others would recommend if i wanted to try something. i thought no man sky at launch would be that but man it got boring fast.

If you haven't played Stardew then it mgith be good for you. It's a pretty casual pace, there's only one kind of soft deadline built in. Otherwise you can knock everything out as you wish, and there is actually a ton of progressive challenge built in.

The Civilization franchise has been my go-to for several years when it comes to shutting off my brain and relaxing.

Cities Skylines, until you get to the point where traffic becomes unbearable.

Mods do help, but if you have no mods, it’s not If. It’s definitely when.

Big open world games to just explore all the areas and admire details. Horizon: Forbidden West would be the most recent of that sort.

I agree with Stardew, and with that being said, I'm really excited for Haunted Chocolatier whenever that may be.

NCAA 14. Always has been, always will be.

Oh and Ed O’Bannon can die in a cozy fire.

I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours in Slay the Spire.

Once it came out on iOS it became a mainstay on my home screen. I'll put it down for a few weeks or a month and forget about it, then pick it up on a whim and find myself playing constantly for a few more weeks. Even if card based stuff is off putting (it is to me, largely), this is to me, the perfect cozy rogue-lite game where every run is different, the challenge continues to grow as you get better, and you can play at your pace. Seriously, if you have avoided the game up to this point, I can't recommend it enough.

Opened this thread to post Stardew. Pretty amazing how the game was developed by one single person.
