Leaderboard is full of DP tour players. Trace Crowe and Jake Knapp are the Americans just behind them. This is supposed to be a big event, no?

Just think first place gets like $1.6M. You know Farmers has to be a little pissed that probably nobody is watching this tournament with a payday like that.

Matthieu Pavon blew the field away today. 1st win in the US and the first Frenchman to win a PGA event. Leaderboard was stacked full of household names for this event too.

The American Express taking over the desert tournament and making it a really fun, enjoyable tournament and the move to PGA West stadium, has also really hurt the Farmers. Last week’s tournament had a much better field and made for a much better watch.

Torrey has always felt like a big event because Tiger played in it and won it so many times, and more recently, Rahm has played in it and done well.
Last year I think it was an elevated event as well. But this year, with Pebble being elevated followed by WM and Riv it’s not going to get nearly as many of the top players.
