Junior golf lessons around Mandeville suggestions

Have a 7 year old who loves golf and I take him out 3 times a week right now. I feel like I have done all I can do to the point it’s time for at least a few real lessons (I’m thinking once a week right now). I have already done stance, tempo, start line, etc. At this point I don’t want to screw him up
I know Rob Noel is the top advised, but Leitz would be far easier to go to in terms of location for us
Should I hire the bullet for Noel, or is Leitz plenty good enough for what we need

Isn’t that Beau Chene? If so, they have a pro that could help. If not, Rob Noel.

It is Beau Chene yes. They do have group lessons which I have tried, but IMHO, they seem almost worthless. And as someone who did high level tennis, it’s just a tough environment for kids to be in a large group for tennis or golf

I agree, group lessons are a terrible idea for golf. Get with Rob Noel or the guys over at Diamondhead.

Your boy obviously has natural talent, get him the best coach you can afford and don’t push/over pressure him.

1 vote for Leitz. Over the years I known a bunch of people that have went to both. Slight edge to Leitz from feedback and my personal of opinion on how much they improved. Leitz is a respected teacher, I wouldnt like at is as settling for him instead of Rob.
Also Id assume at minimum you could get a lesson with the assistant pro at BC and not some group thing. I have personal experience with Eddie and thought he was great. I had him analyze my swing one day and gave me some tips. Not really a lesson. But he was very detailed and compared my swing side by side with Rickie Fowler. Would save you some money in the near term and maybe progress to a Rob/Leitz teacher as he gets a little older.

You better quadruple confirm that dude can make it to your scheduled lesson.

I’m assuming Craig is long gone. But that who gave me lessons 20 years ago.

Fred Schroeder did personal one on one lessons and I achieved my goal handicap.

I just wanted to chime in to say the way your son is able to get his hips fired before his hands/shoulders is awesome for that age.

Honestly Rob Noel is great, my 8 year old goes to him. I live in baton rouge, my 8 year old has also done the PGA camps at his place as well. Great coach and I enjoy the trips to money Hill.
With that being said I have taken lessons for Leitz before as well. He was excellent as well. You really can't go wrong taking your boy to either one. I think it would matter more when he gets older, he might develop a preference for ones of their coaching styles. Either way I would do what is easier for you now.

Posting vids of your kid’s golf swing:
This kid is 7? Looks like he’s 4

You think making fun of a 7 year old is better? Congrats
70% for height, 20% for weight. Long and lean. But if you want to talk shite about him to his face and not just in the internet we are headed to the range at Beau Chene for 11. I would love to let you have a chat with him
Just trying to get some helpful tips from those who have raised a junior golfer. Completely foreign for me

Don’t bother engaging.
A 7 year old swinging like that is impressive as heck man! Kudos to you.
Only advice I can offer is don’t burn him out.

Coming from my background, fortunately I have good experience with kids getting burnt out and pushed to where they peak at 15 and then quit
I’m just at that weird point now I feel he is too young for lessons, but his swing has gotten to the point it’s beyond any idea I have now to make it better. All I can do is say “it looks good”
