Bicep Tendinitis treatment

Looking for some recommendations please.
Pain below the bicep in the crease of the elbow area (no tear). This has become quite the nuisance while working out over the past two weeks. I’ve been icing it. No progress to speak of yet.
Anyone have a recommendation to get through this without taking significant time off from pull exercises ?
I haven’t had much success with the PT YouTube videos I’ve taken advice from so far.

It’s warning you. The warning comes before a tear so you really have two options:
1) stay off it completely
2) go very, very light weight
If it starts warning you in the gym, you’re not going light enough. It’s worth going baby weight for weeks or even months if you have to so you can avoid tearing it.
I wouldn’t ice it. Take ibuprofen.
*I’m only passing along what was told to me when I had a similar issue in my elbow.

If this is the same as golfers or tennis elbow then this worked for me. Rippitoe Chin Ups
It took a week or two but mine is gone and has stayed gone.

Thanks. I will heed that warning then.

Not quite the same, but thanks for the reply. The chin up would be the end of me with this ailment.

Brutal nagging injury that won’t go away. Injured in Jan 2020 and I tried to lightly work through/around it to no avail. Took a full forced break from weights during lockdown gym closure and it still didn’t resolve . Doc gave anti inflammatory meds, which were no help . Ended up being a 13 month ordeal. Best of luck.

Had this problem for a while, had to go lighter on my bicep exercises. Slower but more deliberate movements. Also I used the point joint attachment on my massage gun, seemed to help limit the tightness

Get one of those wraps to put on it and eat gurt and bpc 157 til it gets better
Lay off the curls a bit and it should get better in a week

That is just crazy enough of a solution that I must try it. I have struggled on/off for years now. I have to baby my pull exercises more than I would like. Multiple rounds of BPC are the only thing that has ever worked. My pain is more in my forearm than bicep though

I have an absolutely identical story. same timeline and all. BPC absolutely healed it. I do some stretches that seem to help keep it at bay but feel like it will always be in back of my mind

BPC Info
Not the best source of info considering pushing affiliate links but I do think it gives a broad understanding

I blame pull-ups/chin ups for mine. I was doing multiple sets of those at the time and think I overworked the tendon. I have quit doing those entirely. I can sometimes feel a slight twinge in my arm when doing lat pull downs, and I immediately reduce the weight. Oddly, none of the bicep curl or other pull exercises give me problems. But I’m still concerned about it now, 3 years later.

Mine was either weighted chins or hammer rows. Mine hurts most on exercises where palms are supinated like chin-ups and curls. Got to the point where picking up my little boy was excruciating.

Do you do this everyday? Every other?

How many mcg BpC daily?
250 mcg/twice a day for a total of 500mcg/day. Do this for 2 weeks and likely that you will not need more.
inject as close as possible to the source of the injury
