How exactly do we not recruit the #7 athlete in the country when he has offers from A&M, Alabama, and Auburn? Sounds like a pretty good player to me.

If you went to school on LSU's campus from the time you were in Kindergarten(not saying that's how long he went there, but you get my point)

UHigh picks their athletes out when they are about to enter high school. Can't think of a single one that started at UHigh when they were in lower school.

He went to A&M but it was not simply his choice.

Ole Jimbo already getting into BR. I know this player might not be a huge deal, but this is where pipelines begin.

The only Uhigh athlete to come all the way through was Malik Antoine. The Stanford DB. Every other one to my knowledge has come around the 7th/8th grade.

At least he didn't pick Bama.

They told him they didn’t have room before we did.

Bama pushed him to commit last week, they whiffed.

Bama had an open spot when they dismissed an ILB recently, unfortunately for them since they told him to kick rocks earlier, he moved on it seems.

LB, pretty much everyone was recruiting him for LB that was left. He plays WR/CB in high school though

Has he ever played lb before? That’s a tough position to learn on the fly in the sec. He definitely has the size and athleticism to do it but that’s still a tall task.

He was in charge of erasing his name on the "Target" white board and writing it on the "Commitment" white board.

After he got the staff their lattes first, of course.

Elko coached Harris’ brother at Wake Forest. Harris family liked him.

I get what you’re saying, but the 3 LBs not committed to LSU that you listed, along w DBs Clark and Chester K are all extremely talented players.

Brooks > Constantin
Lee > Harris + Tongue

Sure, but we have limits, we cant take 40 players every year, so you have your board, and you have an order to your board by position. You cant take 5 guys at a position you are allocating 2 or 3 spots for.

The staff likes Brooks over Constantin, they only want 1 FOLB this class really. Both would play that position in college more than likely.

The staff TRIED to get Harris to work out at LB to judge him there, he wouldnt do it, they offered on offense as an H-back, he wasn't interested. Tongue they liked on defense, but he wants to play offense, so again, no interest there.

We have a ton of DBs already committed, they MAY take 1 more, but it's more likely they dont unless we lose someone.

Thank you for the detail and clarification. Didn’t realize that Harris didn’t want to work out at LB for LSU.

I feel bad but I actually laughed when I heard they wanted him to play LB. If anyone has every really watch him play a game and not just highlight videos vs crap competition, you’d see that he is not a physical player. He’s a big, strong kid but he steers clear of contact on offense and defense. I just don’t see him as a special teamer, unless he the return guy, and I definitely don’t see him sticking his nose in to stuff the run. Just my 2cents.

I’ve watched him play the last couple of years with my nephew.

Translation: He’s an ideal Aggy defender.
