This is the new age of college football. Like it or not. The powers that be have ruined this sport.

Seems to me the die has been cast here. Can’t let guys hold the program hostage or you’re asking for repeat occurrences. Disappointing, but here we are…

He feels like he's better than will Campbell and wants to play LT. I love his confidence but will Campbell is a top 10 pick

If only the NCAA had any forethought to enable a nil and transfer system with a salary cap, rules, strict punishment for tampering. Instead it’s a free for all that professional football doesn’t even have.

They have no power to do this. It has to be the conferences and schools. If ncaa does this, they would just get sued til no tomorrow.

It's obvious he wants playing time right now, and someone will pay for him to move. Thankfully we are loaded at OL because after next season we will need an entire new starting o line. There's no more stacking talent.

Know what NFL teams covet? Flexibility and versatility. Play RT for a year, then Campbell is gone swap to LT. Seems incredibly short sighted but Ole Miss will probably let him do what he wants and pay him on top of it.

Bidding war. NIL seems like a year to year contract

I dont believe it is money in the short run. He said when he came here he wanted to play LT. We have and AA at LT right now with likely one more yr at LSU. He may be looking at whether he can go play LT somewhere else now and get two yrs at the position.

BK could move WC to RT and let Heard play LT but Jones would have to move inside to guard which is probably better for him in the long run.

So money in the long run is in LT in the NFL. Maybe he has goals.

So dont think everything is just about the bag. That is an easy solution. Juggling players and positions is not easy.

Yea, it’s not just money. He’s not guaranteed to start next year and if he does, it’s probably not at T. Other teams are back channeling to try to get him to transfer for more NIL money and a starting spot at T.

A horrible, horrible "solution". First, Campbell is a better player than Heard at least right now or next year. Sssssooo if order to satisfy a temper tantrum, you make the team weaker! Second, you don't negotiate with someone blackmailing you. Only encourages another blackmail. Here is the REAL solution.

Tell Heard that he should get more playing time next season, substituting at both LT and RT. If that isn't enough for him, then wish him luck with his next team.

Hey Lance, there’s a reason why you didn’t beat out Campbell in High School or College.
