Well, there goes the "he can't recruit elite players/transfers outside of Louisiana" narrative.

Good get. I think he's a fit for what CMM wants to do on offense.

Yes, he’s elevated his reach to that monster power UT Martin.

Why's that music sound like I'm on hold with my credit card company?

Awesome pickup though to get an experience, actual PG on this roster

I guess the operative question is whether or not Sears is "elite"?

Best case scenario, McMahon has finally found the PG to fully execute his offense the way he envisions it being run.

Worst case scenario, this is Justice Hill 2.0 and the small stature and mid-major production don't translate to the SEC. If you compare Sears's numbers this past season to Hill's numbers in his final season at Murray St they aren't all that dissimilar.

Hopefully it is the former. But I would hold off on calling anyone "elite" until we actually see them play for LSU.

The funny thing is, they use that same instrumental for every single highlight reel they post

You are very dense. Some of the best players in college basketball were transfers from smaller schools.

Dalton Knecht- Northern Colorado
DJ Burns JR- Winthrop
Max Abmas- ORU
Aaron Estrada- Hofstra
Grant Nelson- North Dakota

To name a few.

Just stop posting.

He's a very very similar player to Cook, hopefully with a better attitude. He historically kept the turnovers low until this season I'm hoping because of his workload, but if history repeats itself, 3 turnovers per game is not good.

Actually at Murray State in 2021-22 before transferring to LSU, Hill averaged 13.4 PPG. This year Sears averaged 21.6 PPG and was 9th in the nation in scoring. We'll have to see if it translates but Sears is a way better mid-major prospoect than Hill was. Sears chose us over Alabama, Texas Tech, South Carolina and others.

They will spin this however they see fit, but it’s an excellent pickup and a major upgrade at G.

If you showed me that graphic with no context, I would think it was for the women's team.

Sears is a solid pickup but is not elite. Last season, he had a BPR of 2.15, playing against weak competition. For reference, Hannibal rated out at 2.96.

Seems like a good pickup. It is extremely weird that someone who was top 10 in NCAA in scoring last year is barely a top 100 transfer portal player

The advanced analytics didn't like him last year, and he projects poorly for the SEC. Maybe CMM can beat the analytics, and Sears will be what LSU was missing.
