Lots of people said he might be overrated as a 5-star and the top player in the state. No one said he sucks or LSU shouldn’t take him.
Saying he should be a high 4-star and a top 5 player in the state is hardly a slight.
I never said any of those things personally, but I have no issue with it.

The issue earlier in the process was that, if you are going to commit NIL money for an impact DT, it would have been good to get one who can make a more immediate impact with our lack of depth.
But that argument went out the window a while ago. As the only impact DT left on the board for us, McKinley is an absolute no-brainer now and has been for well over a month. It’s a bet on development, but he has measurables and athleticism that a lot of other DT prospects just don’t. Just get the right defensive hires made and get him ready for when he will be greatly needed in 2025.
