First of all he Is one of the top 2-3 backs in the state. Dynamic player. He also WANTS to be a tiger. Another reason is to keep the Neville pipeline going. Zalance Heard and Matthew Fobbs White are huge talents that will be legit 4 stars next year. Let’s go BK!

no.

If they want to come and be tigers like ajay does, then fine.

Can’t horse trade spots this year for hopefuls next year.

What if you did that for seniors at these juniors’ schools last year:

Ken Law
Shaz Preston
Etc.

If ajay is a take based on talent and want, yes.
If ajay is a less talented down payment on other Neville guys that could spurn us….no.

Hope cbk is different than MilesGeron

Eta. I still upvoted you.

They have jrs coming up next year that are better than Allen in state, if you don't get Citizen that will help bolster the upcoming juniors
I think that's the main reason they got Cain

Who are these juniors? STM coach and West Monroe coach who combined have over 80 years coaching experience both said Allen is one of the best backs they have ever seen. If you know the history of these coaches these are not just coach speak comments.

I absolutely love this kid's tape. Dynamic is the perfect way to describe him. I would love to see him in purple and gold next season. He could be a late steal in this class.

Jake Martin from the Ouachita Citizen wrote a piece on him not having a LSU offer. This is what prompted the thread. I suck at the internet. Can someone link the article.

I really like Allen. I just don’t see him as the type of back BK goes for going by his backs at ND.

An Ajay Allen offer gives me that Darrel Williams vibe. Late offer from a hard working underrated instate kid that’ll light it up when he gets here.

Very shifty and quick feet. Looks a little slim and more of a finesse back right now who would need to put on some good wait to be "the guy". I see a lighter John Emery in him.

Agreed. Just think how much better LSU's running game would have been had Darrel redshirted and still been on the team in 2018. He was getting carries for KC that year and would have been the lead back for LSU. Instead, he played sparingly while behind Fournette and Guice.

While I understand redshirting will not be what it once was ( because of the transfer portal ) Ajay Allen is too good of an instate athlete not to be offered, have a chance to get bigger and become a great player 2-3 years from now.

With LSU sitting at 7 WRs, I could see AJ as a slot offer. He’s built much more like a slot than an SEC RB. For reference, he’s listed as the same height as Slade and 12 pounds lighter. See how small Slade looks on the field against SEC defenses?

He’s a helluva return man and electric with the ball in his hands. Get him here then figure out where to put him.

#3 Allen looks really good to me. Vision and balance look to be his strengths. Variety of spin moves, slippery dude!
#53 Heard at RT looks as good if not better than our guy Campbell!

..with those opinions said, I'm a veteran fan, not a coach or evaluator. If the recruiting services had Allen as the top running back in the country, I'd not be able to say they're wrong.

That guy looks pretty damn good. A little undersized, but tough, quick and fast. I wonder how he catches and if he’s smart.

He was probably the best receiver on the team. Caught the ball really well in 7 v 7. Caught the winning Td pass vs Ruston. Agree with what JJ said.
