Jesus is my friend, and some (one ex-wife in particular) might say I'm a bad friend...

Are Ibieta and Langlois soaking up a scholarship?

Tough decisions have to be made - do you want an SEC level starter at DT or a highly rated (maybe overrated?) WR recruit who is talented but seemingly not "aligned" enough to do the things needed to get on the field

Ehh most of our great Wr's weren't that great until at lest their sophomore year. Regardless you cut upperclassmen that aren't making it on the field not rs or true freshmen players unless they have serious discipline issues.

As someone responded, Gilbreath is gone way before Markway. As far as your question, both Ibieta and Langlois are on scholarships although I thought I saw a 2nd Ibieta on the roster...if so, he is a walkon.

Will we keep both punters? I know Todd is on scholarship, don’t know about the other

It would be interesting to put names/posts together regarding 2 subjects just last year that would have everyone running from their opinions. The easy one, all the Nuss Buss guys last spring/summer matter of factly stating he was better and should be starting over the future Heisman winner. Hot take. The tougher one in regards to hurt feelings, let's revisit those Dominic McKinley threads from last summer. Bound to be some doozies in those. Point being, no one is correct in all opinions. Even Jesus chose bad friends.

Speaking of opinions, weren’t you the same genius that said Nuss would never start because he didn’t play in that bowl game against KState? Glass houses, my guy.

When does the spring portal open or is it already open?

We have Todd, Ramos and Burrell as specialists. Todd and Ramos are the expected starting P and K, and Burrell will back them both up (he’s nursing an injury but can both P and K).

Something that jumped out to me about him after reporters Just saw the guys on day 1 of spring the guy said that Sampson had put on virtually no muscle, that his body hadn't changed....that told me he wasn't working in the weight room

Yeap. And to be honest, would be shocked if Smith doesn't blow it up in that Ole Miss offense. Selfishly always sad to see those guys go, but ultimately am very glad that they turn out to be great players.

I'm afraid we lose Kyle Parker to the portal.

He looked awesome in spring practice and seemed to even be running with the 2s in the slot.

But I didn't see him once in the spring game and I'm worried he wants to see the field this year.

Did you consider maybe he was hurt?

They had the walk- on catching passes.

No way imo. Parker doesn't even seem to be built that way. Doubt he will run to the portal.

He should get plenty of work this year.
