Are baseball gloves larger now than ever before?

I was watching the Morgan catch (which was great and was #1 on SportCenter top 10!).
That catch and some of the other ones shown seem to me to show that the gloves have become pretty huge (they also seem to show that they are really flexible which brings me back to all those days of trying to break in stiff gloves).
Nothing wrong with this. Players should have the best equipment available. It's just something that caught my eye.
Here is a photo collage of the evolution of the baseball glove over the years:

Outfield gloves are generally bigger than infield. Other than 1B

Not really. They’ve been pretty standard sizes for many years. Outfielders will almost always have larger gloves. You won’t see an infielder with that big of a glove.

Correct outside of a 1b or catchers mitt

My favorite glove, before it was stolen, was one called the "Big Daddy", by Rawlings I think. Caught many a ball that other gloves wouldn't get to.

i had a glove called that too, different type though.

Definitely not more flexible. The Marucci gloves are stiff as board when new.

You could use that 1900 glove for yard work after the game.

Outfield and 1B mitts are usually 13”. Infield gloves are usually around 11 1/4”to 11 3/4”

Outfielder’s gloves are bigger and deeper to help keep balls from popping out. Infielder’s gloves have a smaller pocket so they can get the ball out of the glove and throw the runners out.

I can tell you that going through my dad’s old college / HS gloves and bats —- that IMO, the gloves have changed and have been designed much better. However, they swung “lumber” back in the 60’s. He played SS at only about 5’8” / 165 —— but his bat was huge for his size and thick/ heavy!!! 33” and 36oz
