If Bama somehow sneaks back into the playoff picture and we beat the hell out of them for the trophy, Joe's name will be next to Cannon's and there will be a statue of him outside the stadium within a year.

Statue and renaming North Stadium Drive to Joe Burrow Drive would be appropriate.

Joe will not just be one of the best LSU players in its history, but SEC history. That truly is unbelievable.

however, comparing him to Burrow is asinine.

Nah, it's really not. He threw LSU a lifeline when the program was on its last leg. See my above post. He was a top-10 national recruit who signed with LSU and stayed home despite LSU having six straight losing seasons and despite LSU not being the "trendy" program for Louisiana kids to sign with. The state was hemorrhaging talent.

Without Faulk there is no "golden era" of LSU football. Without Faulk there is no Burrow. I don't mean to diminish what Burrow has done for this team and the program. I just think Faulk was every bit as important to the shift of the program's fortunes back in 1995 as Burrow is now and he deserves to be immortalized as an all-time great post haste.

Forgot when these guys won the Heisman.

If the NC gets won, I'd bet it's up by next season.

I guess we all missed it when Faulk won a Heisman then

WTF, so if its up to you then any great player gets his name up there? Seriously...you want your name up there....win a Heisman and set all of the SEC records and win a NC and then you will be etched in glory as Burrow will be!

I mean should we put Cole Tracey or Brad Wing on your list? I mean, they were best kickers and punters LSU has had.

now Joe is a special cat, but this is the rant, we want instant gratification and if a player has a good game or two in a row he is automatically labeled the GOAT by the young'n's on here

ok, thanks for your input! Faulk no doubt one of the best to wear P&G, but Burrow wins the Heisman and NC he will be up there sooner rather than later and you can get your panties in a wad

Oklahoma already has statues of Jason White and Sam Bradford, and they have plans to have Bakers and Murray's completed by 2021.

Auburn put up Cam's 2-3 years after he left as well (along with Pat Sullivan and Bo Jackson)

My panties will not be in any kind of wad when Burrow takes his rightful place among the all-time greats to play at LSU. I fricking love Burrow more than any LSU player since Faulk. All I'm saying is I hope Faulk gets his due soon as well. It's long past time for that to happen.

Bert Jones finished fourth in the Heisman voting, and Charles Alexander and TM7 both finished fifth. They should be up there for sure.

Faulk didn’t win a Heisman.

Lots of people to go

Jones

Faulk

Then you get to Burrow

My guess is 20 years

Again, not a single Heisman in this group

future players would still be able to wear 9. It is an unofficial number retire

When was the last player to wear 20? Why would 9 not get the same treatment.
