no I haven't and the tigers weren't playing and losing to 2-18 teams.

Our 2009 team lost a series at home to Tennessee who finished 11/12 in the SEC. Our team last year lost a home series to MS State who finished 13/14 in the SEC.

I’m sure if you cared to look back at last place teams taking one game from an elite team, which we are not this year, the number is massive

I get it. We needed and you wanted a sweep. But not sweeping anyone isn’t some unprecedented or unacceptable thing in baseball

Auburn's two wins are against 15-6 Tennessee and 16-5 Arkansas so if LSU loses this one I guess they will be in good company

Auburn hasn’t won a single SEC game on the road this year. This would be a terrible loss

We did win the series

The concern is the pathway to the number of conference wins needed for a shot at a regional.

against 2-18 and the fact that every sec win is more important given the present position of the Tigers standings in conference, yes every win is huge. Many here can oppose my thinking of this is "unacceptable" at LSU but yet if I bring up the fact that ULL is ranked the top 20 and will make a regional this year and an unranked LSU won't, people will have a global meltdown about why this and that. Then I'll repeat what many say here "that's baseball" , "but we won the series against a 2-18" , we can't win them all" "be glad we not get run ruled on Sunday" bs.

It is "always" unacceptable that LSU is unranked and ULL is ranked and will play in post season while LSU most likely won't.

We’re unranked because we lost our first 5 SEC series and were swept multiple times, not because we might lose 1/3 to Auburn. You’re taking your frustration for the whole season out on this game, a game we haven’t even lost

How does that have anything to do in a thread about losing to Auburn?

Sweeps do happen. And if you want to make the NCAAT you have to find a way to sweep someone after starting SEC play 3-12.

Bingo.

If we lose this game, there’s no shame in winning a SEC series, regardless of opponent. The shame is we started the SEC season so awful, putting ourselves in such a bad position to where we really needed a sweep this weekend.

Man If we merely wouldnt have choked away the Florida and Vandy games alone, we’d be within 5 wins of 14.

What’s frustrating is we are currently averaging only 3 runs a game vs auburn pitching

That’s awful
