Are you training him to be a try-hard LSU baseball fan?

I'm training him that baseball games are for baseball and parks are for playgrounds. Also, he's 3. The kids on the playground are 5-10 and won't give two shits about running him over. I'm not going to babysit 10 kids when I'm there to watch LSU.

I have a 14 month old and he's been to 5 games so far this year and loved every second of it. Bring the kid, buy some nachos, and enjoy some father/son time. Don't listen to these miserable fricks on here...
Then your "14 month old" is the exception rather than the rule. Most this age can't deal with crowds/noise/heat and usually start acting up after about the first inning or so. (Screaming/Crying/....etc)

Here's one of those "Miserable fricks" that don't tolerate that BS. I'm there to enjoy the game, not be annoyed or distracted by those that can't afford/ can't find a baby sitter or plain and simply could care less if their off-spring is bothering other people.

BTW, that's some 14 month old you got there if he told you he "Loved every Second" of an LSU baseball game.

If the context clues about this being a baseball game were removed, I'd think you were talking about someone bringing their 14 month old to the opera.

I care about my child. Sorry if your father neglected you as a child. I am a father, and a very proud one at that. The ONE time he has cried at the game, is when he fell off the "spongy" floor and on the concrete. Which distracted NO ONE from the game. I love LSU baseball and I love my son. Why not experience both at the same time even if it is for only an hour or so? Watching him raise his fist in the air when I yell "Geaux Tigers" puts the biggest smile on my face!

Thanks, bro. If you're miserable self is ever lucky enough to get laid and father a child, I truly hope you get to bring him to the best stadium in the country to cheer on the Tigers.

I plan to have that same mentality once he reaches age 3, but he is only 14-months. You pick your battles...

When he's old enough to go on the playground without me supervising him and 10 other kids, he can make that choice. Right now, if he's at the baseball game with me, he's watching baseball with me because that's what I'm there for.

So some real advice.

If your child is pretty good at sitting outside and loves the outdoors/sun it is pretty awesome to take them. My daughter always loved to be outside we took her to her first baseball game when she was 2 and she loved it. She didn't know what was going on but she loved watching the folks walk around and even paid a little attention to what was going on on the field sometimes.

Granted you will probably have to get up and walk around with him/her a couple of times.

I didn't need a ticket for mine we just walked in with her and presented our tickets and she sat in our lap.

Take the kid and enjoy the game man....if it really sucks then you know next time you need a babysitter

2 year olds are probably the least annoying or distracting people at the Box during a game.....I mean they are way below freaking Chris or the damn "Look At Me" K-Lady. Then you have the birdman and every damn person in the joint that thinks they are better at calling the game than the actual umpire.

Yes he must have a ticket.

My advice. If you must bring a two and a half year old to the ballpark. get tickets for seats outside the stadium on game day or through ticket exchange.

DO NOT get Standing Room Only tickets or he will have to stand the whole game or you will be holding him the entire game.

No he doesn't need a ticket. You only have to purchase a ticket for 3 and under for football games. Just took my daughter to the box no ticket needed.

My little girl has been to two games and hasn't had any issues either time, but if she were to get fussy I'd just get up with her and go somewhere else until she settles down. I'm not not going to bring my kid to a game because some loser who still lives in his moms basement finds it distracting.

I make my 3 year old fill a scorebook if he goes. If he gets an error/hit wrong I throw his snowcone on the ground.

Why take a toddler to a loud, hot, humid place were he will be uncomfortable for several hours and won't understand what is going on??

I hope he sits right next to your arse at the next game you attend (if ever) and aggravates the shite out of you the entire time....maybe even pukes on ya for good measure...takes up their seat and part of yours....screams the whole fricking time. Talk about just reward!!!
