Biggest disappointment of AT

Is this the biggest disappointment of all time to be the front runner preseason to not making the field of 64?
So many are defending Jay but this is so piss poor. Specially in the day of the portal after winning a natty.

When they made it through pre-SEC play with one loss, I believe they were the betting favorite for a period.

The only thing close is Ed O in 20. But that team had Covid as an excuse plus the loss of talent IMO was greater in total for football. Nonetheless, this BB team was a shoe in for Omaha and was projected to have better overall pitching with solid offense. The performance in the SEC is historically bad from an LSU standpoint. The extra infuriating part is it's hard to blame the roster, the team has talent. Jay has had so many coaching blusters this year from in game calls to roster management that it's no wonder we have low chemistry and can't find a groove. Since Les, I've never scratched my head so much with a Game Day approach.

I suspect this is statistically significant collapse.
Isn’t it cause for the program to take a look at what caused it?

IIRC - my JR year at LSU in 1998 we were preseason #6 in football (or something like that) and went 4-7

They are all bullshite from someone that isn’t an LSU fan. We lost the best pitcher and best offensive player in college baseball. We lost the best defensive first baseman we’ve ever had, we lost Dugas, we lost Joubert, we lost Beloso. We won a national championship in his second year. Pre season predictions don’t mean shite. Skenes was pre season 2nd team all SEC. How bullshite was that ranking.
