Sigma Chi runs deep in Baton Rouge. Dardenne wrote a history of the original Sigma Chi house at LSU, House of the Southern Woods.

Seasonally adjusted private sector employment for March 2019 shows that Louisiana added 800 jobs from March 2018. This is also the thirteenth consecutive over-the-year increase for seasonally adjusted private sector employment. From February 2019, seasonally adjusted private sector employment increased by 2,900 jobs to 1,657,200.

Tell me more about how the government grows while the private sector is getting shafted in Louisiana under JBE.

Championing Vitter and lambasting Dardenne...

You could say that the whore expert in Vitter saw a whore when he saw one and Dardenne was exactly that, a whore that betrayed conservative voters that he promised to advocate for and sold his endorsement to a liberal in JBE for a fat paycheck.

That's not even true based on the article you posted.

Uh yes it is.

Construction fell by 6.3%, or 9,600, over the past 12 months to 143,400 jobs. Information was down by 2,200 jobs, or 9%, to 22,200. Mining and logging, which includes oil and gas jobs, fell by 1,100 jobs, or 3.1%, to end at 34,400. Professional and business services was down by 0.7%, or 1,500, to 211,300. Trade, transportation and utilities was down by 0.2%, or 800 jobs, to 378,700.

One of the biggest problems Louisiana has that it has too much government for a state of only 4 million people. That's a population that's smaller than Houston and it is an outrage every time the private sector loses jobs while government grows.

We can't afford all this government and JBE is only interested in putting more people on the dole and giving more free shite to the poor and special interests.

I sure HOPE Jay Dardenne is the next Governor of Louisiana. If it's that idiot Jeff Landry, it'll be BJ 2.0.

How about the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is where the press release from JBE got their info?

Government has grown larger under Edwards’ expansion of Medicaid.

This was at the same time Edwards pushed through the biggest tax hike in state history helping to push the state into a recession.

Population is declining. People are leaving by the thousands.

But this is a sports board. I hate seeing politics getting mixed with athletics. Jindal saved Miles’ job and that didn’t work out. I’d wish Edwards and Dardenne would leave athletics alone.

Read those numbers, we showed a very small increase in jobs from March of 18 to March of 19 at a time when national employment is quite high. La. isn’t enjoying the Trump economy.

Amazing to see how people have failed to remember the “miracle” delivered by the Jindal administration. And they seem to want a reprise.

Sentrius, you’re spot on !!! JBE and Dardeene are of the same pod. Liberals !!! But dude, remember: you shouldn’t argue with liberals, they can’t open their minds to the possibility that they can be wrong. Well, even so, give’em hell !!!

Instead of focusing on immigration, Trump should focus on passing infrastructure and put people to work. There go the construction jobs that you're looking for.

JBE the legislator consistently scored at the very bottom of LABI’a annual scorecard based on how legislators vote on bills affecting businesses. Lower than any single member of the Legislative Black Caucus, known for their lack of support for business.

He is anything but moderate, he’s a true tax and spend liberal. Seems like you bought into the Governor Honor Code schtick like a lot of the sheeple.

And Dardenne’s Judas move on the Republican Party (where he showed his true colors) is almost solely responsible for giving us the Turtle. IDGAF what role he had in this blessed event, he’s still a slimeball.

Lobbyist? I did not know this about Woodward.

Woody never had intentions of going into athletics. He was all politics when Emmert pulled him into LSU to initially serve as liason between the school and state government.

I hope we can get someone better than him in office. I remember Dardenne being interviewed on a local SPORTS radio station, of all things, back in 2015, and he had nothing but non answers for nearly every question that came his way. The fact that he couldn't handle being "grilled" by a sports talk show host was something I found quite troubling.

to make matters worse, once he lost in the primaries, he ENDORSED John Bel Edwards, and is now in Edwards' cabinet. Gee, I wonder if that's a coincidence.

I can't get behind that guy. And all he did here was follow a request made of him, as he admits.

Everyone is missing an important part of the story:

quote:

Technically, it is not the role of the Board of Supervisors to recruit, hire or fire university administrators like the athletics director. Those duties are under the purview of the president, F. King Alexander, who was hired by and reports to the board. Dardenne says he cannot speak to what role the board—as opposed to the president—played in the change in leadership over the athletics department. “I don’t know what level of involvement King had,” Dardenne says. “My initial contact came from the chair of the board that a change was imminent. He made it pretty clear that this was going to happen and I was interested in making this happen.”

The "emperor" has no clothes. Look for another change coming soon.

Jay D likely makes more than the Gov. Political payback job for Jay for his late support of JBE in the last election against Vitter. Jay is a blue dog democrat that runs as a republican. His support flipped enough Republicans to JBE. He will not run against JBE.
