You think he’s a single reason Houston is #1? He’s irrelevant to their success. We have blue guys already. We need guys that can actually win you games. We are replacing at least 3 starters, 4 if you count Cook. We need upgrades from those guys, not glue guys.

Louisiana sucks as far as basketball talent

Louisiana sucks at a whole lot of things. Athletic talent isn’t on the list though.

If the last Final Four team had a true pg to distribute and facilitate easier offense they wouldve won the title!

Not sure about the PG, but if Marcus Thornton had been academically eligible out of high school that team would have been very difficult to defend with Marcus and Mitchell lighting it up from the outside and Baby and Tyrus on the inside.

The Hudson kid from Ruston is a special talent. He’s only a freshman but he will be a top 100 player more than likely. Can y’all’s savior Matty Mac pull him in?

Probably going to be on the football field catching passes from another basketball star Elijah Haven

If you get the best 2-3 guys in Louisiana every year and supplement with solid out of state guys the team would be talented.

Looking at Ja'Vier Francis at Houston and Solomon Washington at A&M, I would argue that Louisiana has produced some pretty good forwards recently as well. We just don't have many 7 footers down here, luckily it seems like there are plenty of talented bigs for grab overseas.
Red-shirting Chest baffles me in this era when you don't know how long you will have a kid for, especially after he lead you in rebounds the one time we saw him play. (Scrimmage against Louisiana College)

LSU just needs a coach who can identify that talent and develop it in the mold of how Buzz Williams, Kelvin Sampson, Jerry Stackhouse and Scott Drew have all done.

Houston and Texas A&M have gotten some good players from Louisiana for the past 8-10 years..

I mentioned in a previous post about G.W.Carver HS of New Orleans having very good teams for the last 5 years and not having players seriously recruited by LSU. ...Don't know how much attention they gave Washington but everything pointed to him being a D-1 player!!
