His context is that the roster is actually top shelf, so the team has been underachieving due to coaching. Of course, that’s not true at all — McMahon is getting the absolute most out of these kids & we’ve been consistently improving.

UK is more athletic & that’s a fact… We don’t have a Dillingham or a Reeves or a Thiero. We don’t. Very impressive program win.

So kentucky is an average team when they have more NBA players ON THEIR BENCH than when do on our entire roster? Or are you talking about other games that happened months ago?

The only team talent wise that we we're much better than that we lost to was Nicholls.... and I think we're all well beyond that. I don't remember ANYONE saying that Nicholls was more talented than us. If anything it was the OPPOSITE and that's why we were so damn upset.

Every other loss was to teams that were either CLEARLY MORE talented than us OR only slightly better or worse than us. Should we have won more of those games? Sure. But we really only have one (maybe 2 if you count Syracuse) bad loss on our resume, and that's Nicholls. The only teams ranked lower than us in Kenpom that we lost to are:

Nicholls (bad loss that we all know we should have won)

Syracuse (terrible loss, but no Cook to counterract Judah Mintz)

Georgia (who we lost by 2 on the road)

Every other team that beat us is ranked higher than us by all analytical sites. And we've beaten multiple teams ranked HIGHER than us in Kenpom (75): North Texas (74), Wake Forest (21), aTm (52), Ole Miss (70), South Carolina (55), and Kentucky (23). So we've beaten exactly TWICE as many teams ranked higher than us than lost to teams ranked lower than us.

So I don't quite know what you're talking about.

The fact of the matter is WE are an average P5 team talent wise and we're going to lose games we should win and win games we should lose. It's the nature of the game. Imagine if instead of losing by 2 ON THE ROAD BTW to Florida and Georgia we won those games. We'd be 16-10 and 8-4 in conference. Different conversations would be had about this team. It's not like we're significantly better talent wise than those teams.

I'm active on basketball boards and I don't think anyone said that teams we could beat (i.e. Georgia, A&M, Florida) were more talented than us. That only applies to the Bamas, Tennessees of the world. You're a smart guy and you know ball but your hatred for McMahon prevents you from being objective, and that's why no one likes you. Stop making shite up.

It’s because the less frequent board users visiting after the game initially misinterpreted his post, so my response required an ETA to clarify that OP was actually making a McMahon jab.

When he realized people were upvoting thinking that OP was in support of coach, he tried to just run with it.

Thread got anchored before the ratio could correct, but you can read the 9 pages of comments from heavier basketball following crowd.
