Depends on head to head with Ole Miss and Bama. I believe the schedule favors LSU based on who UF, Bama, MO, OM, AU have left IF LSU takes care of business against Bama and OM and takes at least 1 from TAMU.
1 back of Bama and UF with UF owning the tiebreak
UF has UK and UGA
Bama has LSU and @Auburn

2 back of Vandy with Vandy owning the tiebreak
UK and Tenn

LSU should be UK fans and AU.

Win 3 vs Ole Miss and 2/3 vs Vandy and a couple at the SEC may squeeze in as a host at 8th.

Will likely finish 9 or 10 depending on AU.

Nothing is guaranteed right now. You just lost a game to a shitty Auburn team IN YOUR HOME STADIUM!

I get that but that shitty team has played a ton of very good teams very close AND they pounded out 13 hits without their best hitter who will be back by the Bama series. I just think Auburn will beat Bama at least once that series and Bama will lose at MsU. That means LSU in the head to head can pass them in the SEC race.

UF has Tenn, UK and UGa left. All three of them can and will likely win 2/3.

MO is done. They have Auburn, SCe and MSU.

AU is done but they play Bama that last series at home. They also play MO and OM.

SCe - has UGa, Tenn and at MO.

Counting Bama, that’s 5 teams LSU realistically could pass based on a sweep of OM and 2/3 vs Bama and 1/3 vs OM.

They're not going to sweep Ole Miss. They couldn't sweep an Auburn team that's missing Ike English.

I’m sure Ole Miss fans were saying similar things when they sat at 7-14 before finishing 7-2 and winning the NC. I’m under no illusions that any of that is likely but you don’t understand baseball if you think a sweep of Ole Miss isn’t possible.

I'll say it again. That Ole Miss team had a bunch of injuries early on. Once they got healthy they went on their run. Completely different from this team, which just sucks.

Injuries vs youth and inexperience, there’s more than one reason teams can improve as the season goes on. The results the last two weekends still were not great, but there were still signs of improvement. They actually produced late in games and showed life even in the losses. The game today would have been a 10-run rule in prior series. That doesn’t mean they are a good team and I think there’s close to zero chance they make a deep playoff run. If they don’t continue improving, they won’t make the playoffs at all. I’m just not giving up on the possibility of improvement. I’m also not discounting the random nature of baseball that can produce unexpected results in short series.

A sweep of Ole Miss is certainly possible, but highly unlikely. This team just hasn't shown it can play good baseball for three days. It barely escaped losing the series to Auburn.

I get it. Just looking at the schedule. It will potentially be a 3 spot swing vs Bama. So many teams that could end up bunched up at the end of the season that nothing is impossible.

Yes, it’s unlikely, but not so unlikely that I would make a definitive statement that they aren’t going to sweep them.

I’m capable of making jokes that go completely over your head, so if I don’t have a sense of humor, what does that say about you?

Sweeping OM is possible, but this team offensively is just not close to being there outside of a few hitters....a huge finale isn't likely. Good news is that the Pitching is improving some.

Finishing 8th-9th in Conference

That is a tough ask but I would love it.

I started keeping track as they go.

Current situation with 9 games left. The top 12 get into the SECT. LSU holds the tiebreaker with Auburn and Mizzou. Florida holds the tiebreaker with us. The tiebreaker is yet to be determined with Ole MIss and Bama. Currently tied for 11 with Ole Miss

Florida has the toughest schedule going forward followed by Mizzou and Georgia.

It will be interesting to see what the next 3 weeks holds for LSU.

LSU(7-14) plays Texas A&M(15-6), @Alabama(9-12), and Ole Miss(7-14)

LSU Leads Auburn by 4 game(s)
Auburn(3-18) plays Ole Miss(7-14), @Missouri(6-15), and Alabama(9-12)

LSU Leads Missouri by 1 game(s)
Missouri(6-15) plays South Carolina(11-10), Auburn(3-18), and @Mississippi State(12-9)

LSU is tied with Ole Miss
Ole Miss(7-14) plays @Auburn(3-18), Texas A&M(15-6), and @LSU(7-14)

LSU Trails Alabama by 2 game(s)
Alabama(9-12) plays @Mississippi State(12-9), LSU(7-14), and @Auburn(3-18)

LSU Trails Florida by 2 game(s)
Florida(9-12) plays Tennessee(15-6), Kentucky(16-5), and @Georgia(10-11)

LSU Trails Georgia by 3 game(s)
Georgia(10-11) plays Vanderbilt(11-10), @South Carolina(11-10), and Florida(9-12)

I stand corrected. Ike Irish. It still doesn't excuse losing to a shitty team in your home stadium.

And we're not gonna take of 2/3 from Aggie.

Until we did.

I haven’t seen enough pitching to believe that a sweep is possible. We can’t beat anybody for first two games but likely can’t beat anyone for game 3. Somebody new needs to step up like tomorrow.
