Freeze has been my top choice for a while. You’re right, the man is an offensive mastermind. I also agree that mistakes can be learned from and I hope it works out! He would wreck shite at LSU.

I want that scripture quoting, hooker hiring, Saban beating used car salesman in Baton Rouge. He would win bigly at LSU.

Is LSU willing to stoop to OM levels of cheating to have a modicum of success? He's a good coach, but LSU can do much better than this snake.

If he’s at LSU there’s no need to cheat. We have the skill guys already

Tiger Voodoo we appreciate your support. But it's not an act...lol The man is an imperfect Christian. And one hell of a ball coach...

I’m going to be real, as an LSU fan, I watched what he put together in Oxford with EXTREME skepticism. So even more than any “marital issues” that played out publicly, my biggest reservation would be that I do believe he, to put it mildly, cut corners and pushed boundaries in recruiting with the NCAA in Oxford, even more than what eventually came out when they were hit with sanctions.

I’m not naive enough to think all programs don’t do this to some extent, including LSU.

But as an LSU fan I didn’t trust him then, so I would hope he would be able to modify his approach to be more above board at a program like LSU, whereas at a program like Ole Miss I’ll grant that a HC probably has to get more, let’s say, “creative” to succeed the way he did.

I respect him as an offensive mind and overall program manager, so my hope would be that he can adapt his recruiting style to take fewer risks knowing the advantages that come built into a major power like LSU.

If he plays it straight, I think he can work wonders with the talent he’ll have at his disposal in Tiger Stadium, and yes, he could lead the next dynasty once Saban is gone, and Freeze could even speed up that exit imo.

ETA: You’ve said he’s been very open publicly about his failures as a husband, has he admitted and repented for those failures he made as a HC in the things that happened under his watch in recruiting?

You gripe about a single coach being seen in public with women but advocate hiring a married man known for frequenting prostitutes on the company credit card

People seem to be mentioning Kiffin and Freeze in the same light. It ridiculous. Freeze has proven he can win in the SEC, field a damn good defense along with a conference best offense, recruit better than anyone being considered, and win at Ole Miss. Kiffin has done none of those things.

Of course, Freeze has a ton of personal baggage. But lets face it, without the personal stuff, he would be the hottest commodity in all of college football. I can get past the personal stuff. My biggest hang up with him would be the potential for NCAA issues with recruiting. Rightly or wrongly, his classes at Ole Miss were raising a lot of smoke.
