Fostering an environment of support for coaches instead of one that micromanages them like Alleva was known to do. Implementing a philosophy that uses resources in a way that will actually help the teams succeed instead of just looking at them as revenue generators with only the bottom line in mind. Getting the entire administration on board with the plan and having everyone pulling in the same direction, instead of the political cliques all passive-aggressively wrestling for control that have defined Alleva's tenure.

I dont think you have to worry about that. I have it on decent knowledge that department would see a changing of the guard once JA decided to call it a day.

People will start to donate again? Or at least some. The others won’t until F King is gone. Dude seriously has zero clue how to run a university. Too busy worried about athletics and not enough on the campus. Like how every other building has been under construction for 8 years with no results. Building lazy rivers instead of fortifying departments and laying off a ton of staff members.

He's good friends with NCAA president Mark Emmert, which can only help LSU in touchy situations.

LSU alumni

He knows corrupt Louisiana politics (LA political consultant and legislative liaison), and will keep the good ole boys out of athletics

He worked under Mark Emmert at LSU

His resume speaks for itself (Peterson at UW, Jimbo & Buzz at A&M)

LSU couldn't have made a better hire

Next time there's rain in the forecast in the Sunshine State, the game will still be played.

Let's ask the Aggie s forum. Surely they will tell us the truth about Woodward.

He’s done great things for the academic side of this university in his last tenure here in a non athletic capacity. He was instrumental in helping LSU become a tier 1 research institute.

I have no way of knowing this nor do I know the man but he is a ultimate professional and on top of everything by all accounts. I have to believe if we lured him away and back home this quickly he payed close attention to what has went on with LSU athletics. Assuming that is the case I would imagine one of the first things he will do is hire a full time PR person. Someone that will get out in front of every public issue concerning LSU athletics. If we had someone in this role something like the embarrassment with the florida hurricane and LSU looking like the bad guy would have never happened.

Biggest thing that jumps out? The coaches won't have the damn Gestapo (compliance department) breathing down their necks and dictating their moves to them anymore. It'll be more like what they had when he was here the last time and Saban sent Bahnsens arse to ticket sales. Don't be shocked when the compliance department gets gutted and some new faces are working there.

That is good news. Look it is great that compliance is on top of everything immediately in order to keep LSU out of trouble. But at the same time it seems more times than not that they were hindered LSU athletics. We need a guy like saban has. Someone that pushed the envelope but not enough to get in trouble.

I believe the compliance department is the root cause of the entire chain of events. Allowing them to intimidate him was Alleva's mistake.

Compared to what LSU had before him Woodward is the equivalent of Jesus Christ flying off the cross of athletics & fund raising!!!
