That was only a few months ago. Tell me he doesn't want to be here... tell me.

My heart breaks for Les and that's why I'd love to see him get the job.

Les gets the job, spends 5-8 years getting Michigan back to where they should be. That gives Jimmy H. plenty of time to finish what he needs to in the NFL and then he takes over for Les.

Dynasty.

There is a chance Mies would go

but the AD (who is a lloyd car guy) would have to be fired first.

That way lloyd carr wouldn't have the inside ties to UM.

Michigan is a top 3 coaching job in that conference Ohio State, Mich St, Wisconsin are up there. I leave Penn State out for the obvious but it's still a great football town.

Michigan needs to go outside the family and grab a coach that can help bring kids out the south. A Dan Mullen would be a great hire.

It is better that people think that you are stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Bring in Les Miles. He'll be around for 5-8 years. It rights the wrongs that he suffered at the hands of the Michigan A.D. re. 2007 and 2011. In his 5-8 years, he'll get Michigan back on track and competing for championships. He won't have LA in his backyard, but he'll still have connections for recruiting purposes and it's not like Michigan can't get talent. UM consistently fields top recruiting classes with subpar results, imagine if Michigan actually started winning with consistency.

Anyways, Les comes home for 5-8 years, gets everything in order and wins a lot along the way. This gives Jim plenty of time to finish what he started in the NFL and when Les is ready to hang it up, that's when Jim comes home.

And I thought us winning the SECW was a complicated scenario...

Those humorless midwesterners wouldn't appreciate Miles' goofy speech and mannerisms.

He's here for the duration.

Personal opinion is if they make a serious offer this time, and by serious I mean more money than what he's making here, he's gone.

Miles is not about to leave the stacked team he has coming down the pipe in the next couple seasons to go rebuild Michigan. He's going all in to win another title before he retires and moves onto whatever comes next for him.

I mean I could MAYBE see him leaving if he didn't have a team full of stud freshmen and sophomore talent coming back and ready to make a run at a title. But seriously, no way he leaves that.

That's my thinking as well . They have to go big this time. After all it is Michigan.

Not sure if trolling or...
Say what you want about Miles.. But he's a winner and he gets the job done. Before him (and Saban), a 10 win season was a blessing. Now a 10 win season is normal and anything less than that is a disappointment. I support Les Miles and I want him to coach at LSU for the rest of his career. I want him to retire a Tiger

I know its his alma mater, but why we he want to go there without significant changes in the Athltic Department. Isn't Carr still an issue?

Whoever goes there now is going to face a total rebuilding project.
