is one of the women's sports LSU participates in?

To me, to add a sport and for it to be meaningful, shouldn't the rest of the SEC play it as well?

From a Title 9 perspective, yes.

Besides, what's your problem with fit girls in skimpy outfits?

Most of the time athletics programs add those types of teams to keep in title iX compliance.

Also, any time an athletic department adds a program in which it could potentially be competitive, thereby broadening the appeal and footprint of the institution it represents, that's a good thing.

To your question, no. I don't think we should be beholden to the SEC when choosing which types of athletics teams to add. frick them.

ETA, also...

I think we should also add women's bowling, and any other women's teams necessary to get us a wrestling and soccer team.

Does this mean that we can add another Men's sport? Time for soccer to get rolling!

That's not how Title IX works.

It plays opposite the indoor volleyball season, the coaches are the same and nearly all the players are as well. Gives them additional practice time and adds a few scholarships for the male sports that we may not fully max out at this time.

LSU had numerous All-Americans and was a Top 10 program in the country (two 8th place finishes in the NCAA Championships) before the program was axed in 1985 due to Title IX.

LSU arguably had one of the best wrestling coaches in the country as Larry Sciacchetano had the Tigers improving year after year and headed in the right direction.

If I had the money and TAF contacts/pull, I'd bankroll a Wrestling program at LSU which could be competitive with the right people in place. Sadly, Aleva would find a way to screw things up or sabotage the coaches hiring process

This. Title IX has had some seriously adverse effects. But I guess some guys here get to see some girls wearing shorts, so duh-hur.
